there is nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of things. when one starts staying in a cafe for several hours, feigning the need to study, in order to avoid boredom/idleness, that person is in serious trouble.
people don't detest work. when they are devoid of the things that would keep them busy, they freak out. everyone needs to be needed.
or maybe this is just a sign that the person is boring, to begin with. afterall, "boredom comes from a boring mind." (metallica)
